What is a Boxed Wager?
Boxed wagers allow you to bet on possible combinations of a selection of horses. For example:
- If you decide on the best two horses in a race, but aren't sure which horse will win and which will finish second, you may want to place a Boxed Exacta. For example:
- If you box the #4 and #5 horses, your bet will be graded as a win if the first two finishers are 4-5 or 5-4.
To increase your chances of winning, you can box more than two horses; however, the cost of your bet goes up with each horse you add to the box.
